"Excellence is an art won by training and habituation ... We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then is not an act but a habit." - Aristotle
Developing good habits is easier said than done. When we hit speed bumps along life's journey, we tend to go to our default mode for self-preservation which is usually our bad habit. In spite of our good intentions, the overwhelming need to protect ourselves from the unknown of the change, or from the pain to change, in that moment seems to outweigh all the good of the need to change. There is a well known proverb "anything worth doing is worth doing well". If you are a leader, lead well. Always give your best effort. You can be proud of yourself knowing that you gave it everything and your performance was a result of your excellence habit. Let your example be one that your team members want to follow ... not mediocrity but habitual excellence.
What good habits do you currently have? Does your daily behaviour reflect excellence or mediocrity? What one habit will you change starting today?
